Nachhaltigkeit – ein Thema, das uma schon seit vielen Jahren bewegt, dies spiegelt sich nicht nur in unserer generationsübergreifenden und zukunftsorientierter Firmengeschichte wider, sondern auch in den innovativen uma Produktideen. Mit den uma PET-PEN-Serien haben wir die erste tatsächlich nachhaltige Schreibgeräteserie entwickelt, die nicht nur in Haptik und Variations- möglichkeit, sondern auch mit einer innovativen Recyclingidee überzeugt. Für die Herstellung eines PET Kugelschreibers wird rPET verwendet. Das hierzu benötigte Granulat wird aus recycelten PET-Flaschen gewonnen. Eine 0,5 Liter PET-Flasche ergibt genau das Material welches für die Herstellung eines Kugelschreibergehäuses benötigt wird – „Upcycling“ in seiner besten Form. Mit dem Einsatz der uma RECYCLED PET PENs sichern wir Ihnen zu, dass bereits ein Recyclingprozess unterstützt wurde und die Schreibgeräte weiteren Recyclingzyklen zugeführt werden können. Die 100 % europäische Produktion erfolgt außerdem klimaneutral und setzt somit ein weiteres Zeichen für nachhaltiges und langlebiges Werben. Mit der Einführung des uma RECYCLED PET PEN hat uma nicht nur seine Innovationskraft unter Beweis gestellt, sondern auch eine neue Idee in Sache Nachhaltigkeit geschaffen. Dafür wurde die uma RECYCLED-PET-PEN-Serie mit dem PSI Sustainability Award 2017 ausgezeichnet. Mit der Nominierung zum Deutschen Nachhaltigkeitspreis 2019 wurden uma auch branchen- extern bestätigt, zusätzlich zählt das Unternehmen zu den TOP 100 innovativsten Unternehmen im deutschen Mittelstand. With the uma PET PEN series we have developed the first truly sustainable writing instrument series, which not only convinces in haptics and variation possibilities, but also with an innovative recycling idea. rPET is used to manufacture a PET ballpoint pen. The required granulate is obtained from recycled PET bottles. 0.5 litre PET bottle produces exactly the material required for the production of a ballpoint pen housing – “upcycling” in its best form. With the use of uma recycled PET PENs we assure you that a recycling process has already been supported and that the writing instruments can be fed into further recycling cycles. The 100 % European production is also climate-neutral and thus sets a further example for sustainable and long-lasting advertising. With the introduction of uma recycles PET PEN, uma has not only proven its innovative strength, it has also created a new idea in terms of sustainability.
